Want the best? Vote Lovenburg

By
From page A6 | October 16, 2012 |

In the spring of 2011, after nearly 22 years as a parent in our school district, the last of our three children graduated from Davis High School. I looked forward to passing the volunteer and school booster batons on to other parents. But more than a year later, I still care — and I still want our Davis schools to provide the best education to all children and to have the resources and leadership to do so.

That is why I am supporting both Susan Lovenburg for school board and Measure E. When Susan first ran for school board in 2007, I supported her candidacy and her goals to improve communication, focus on student needs and responsibly manage district resources.

During her first term, Susan has immersed herself in the ever-challenging issues facing public education. She remains passionate about providing equal opportunity for all students. She does her research and is able to make tough decisions while remaining respectful of the voices that come before the board. She has an unwavering commitment to fulfill her responsibilities with thoughtfulness, transparency, intelligence and integrity.

Please join me in supporting Susan Lovenburg for school board and in voting yes for Measure E.
