The Enterprise’s May 25 editorial titled “Reviving site of the twin towers” is a positive, upbeat discussion. However, as a nation we cannot truly move forward without determining what really happened on Sept. 11, 2001.
The health and, ultimately, the survival of our form of government depends on its citizens being fully and accurately informed, and this has not happened yet. Abundant evidence clearly reveals the official government account of Sept. 11 events is fundamentally false.
The 9/11 Commission Report, which was supposed to be a complete and accurate official account of events, failed to even mention the third skyscraper that fell that day (and it was never hit by a plane). Also, most citizens are unaware that even the two chairmen of the 9/11 Commission Report, Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton, publicly stated their commission was “set up to fail.”
Most of the public is also unaware that two years after publishing the 9/11 Commission Report, Kean and Hamilton produced another book titled “Without Precedent,” in which they essentially disavowed their own 9/11 Commission Report.
In this new book, they reveal that Philip Zelikow, a consummate Bush administration insider, was put in overall charge of the 9/11 Commission Report. Furthermore, they complained they were given too short a deadline and were frequently denied access to crucial documents and witnesses and often were provided false information by the Department of Defense, North American Aerospace Defense Command and the Federal Aviation Administration.
Lastly, their Sept. 11 investigation was grossly underfunded, initially receiving only $3 million and later was grudgingly allotted a total of $15 million. In comparison, the Challenger space shuttle disaster investigation received $175 million, the Columbia disaster got $152 million and even the Monica Lewinsky scandal investigation received $3o million. Something is very wrong here!
If you wonder what really happened on Sept. 11, keep in mind it is physically impossible for any steel-framed skyscraper to symmetrically collapse at free-fall speed through the path of greatest resistance into its own footprint unless it is expertly demolished using high explosives. This happened three times on Sept. 11.
