What a kick to read in Tuesday’s Sacramento Bee that billionaire Tom Steyer plans to use Citizens United (which he opposes) to get together as much as $100 million to “pressure federal and state officials to enact climate change measures” in the immediate future.

We, the people, can join his effort by supporting carbon taxes, government investment in sustainable energy and similar initiatives. It is easy to express our opinions to legislators when we participate in online advocacy groups like Sierra Club, Citizens Climate Lobby, NextGen Climate Action and 350.org.
