Winter supplies still needed

By From page A6 | January 25, 2013

Thank you for your Enterprise MANNA appeal at holiday time. Because of that appeal, we received more than 50 large black bags of needed household items, cold weather clothing and grooming supplies for the clients served by Yolo County’s nonprofit agencies.

There were many brand-new donations, including hand made, very warm, cozy hats.

We would like to thank the residents of Davis for their wonderful generosity and ask another big favor. Would they please search their homes for additional blankets, sheets, towels, pillows and a bed (or air mattress), desk and chair. If readers have any of these items to donate, please take them to Davis Community Church office, 412 C St. If they have larger items, please phone Lisa at Davis Community Church, 530-753-2894, ext. 100, to arrange pickup and delivery.

Just know how grateful the recipients are. These are cold nights and difficult days for many folks.
