Maybe if we elect someone new to the Assembly who is not a corrupt shill for the California Professional Firefighters, but instead cares about the cities and counties in our district, this will change. As long as Mariko Yamada is carrying the water for the CPF, we won’t have a representative at the Capitol working to fix this problem. It’s a shame we only arrest cools like Leland Yee. How letting corrupt folks like Yamada and Darrell Steinberg take money from unions and other Democratic special interests and then pay them back with the public’s money is not called a crime is beyond me.
