About Mubarak resigning as Egypt’s president? (asked in downtown Davis)

Mike Campbell,Clarksburg:

“If it brings increased democracy to Egypt, I’m all for it.”

Ashley Barker, Davis:

“I’m curious to see what happens next. I don’t know (if it’s good or bad) because I don’t know what’s going to take its place, if its going to be a better or worse situation.”

Raju Manandhar, Davis:

“It happened in Tunisia. Next it might happen in Libya. It just spreads.”

Martin Smith, Davis:

“I was in Prague six months after the Velvet Revolution. They didn’t know what to do with freedom. They don’t have practice at it. Freedom is a double-edged sword. Once the euphoria ends, it will be a long road.”

Julia Hunter-Blair, Davis:

“We haven’t seen anything this hopeful for quite some time. I think it’s going to be interesting to see how people handle freedom.”

Dani Doedens, Davis:

“That sounds terrible, or good. I don’t know. I should be more up-to-date on current events/world affairs.”
