Da Vinci reaches out to parents, students

Da Vinci Charter Academy invites parents and students to its upcoming events related to the recruitment of incoming seventh- through 10th-graders.

A family information meeting is planned for incoming eighth- and ninth-graders from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on March 14 or 15 in Room C-10 at Emerson Junior High, 2121 Calaveras Ave. The charter academy’s junior high school program is on the Emerson campus.

A similar meeting for incoming seventh-graders will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on March 17 or 21 in the same room at Emerson. Seventh-grade parents also are invited to attend the eighth-/ninth-grade meetings.

The focus will be on incoming 10th-graders from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 7 or 8 in Room 18 at Da Vinci High School, 1400 E. Eighth St.

Student preview days are planned for incoming seventh- through ninth-graders on March 21 and 22 at Emerson. RSVP to Wendy Lewis at (530) 757-5430.

Incoming 10th-graders may preview Da Vinci High School on March 14 and 15. RSVP to Debbie Martin at (530) 757-7154.

Completed applications for the Da Vinci Charter Academy are due by 5 p.m. Friday, March 25. Junior high students should deliver their applications to the front office at Emerson; high school students to the Da Vinci office in Room 12 at 1400 E. Eighth St.
