2011 Yolo County Child Development Conference

Parents, teachers, child care professionals and others who are interested in child development are invited to attend a day long child development conference from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at the Veterans Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th Street in Davis.

Some of the workshop topics this year include “Raising Cultural Awareness in Children,” “Environmental Education for Children,” “Let’s Talk: Emotional Literacy and “Social Skills through Puppetry.” This year, the keynote presenter will be children’s author and recording artist José-Luis Orozco.

The cost for attending the conference is $40 for pre-registration or $50 for registration at the door. Child Care Services must receive all pre-registrations by March 4.  A limited number of spaces will be available at the door, pre-registration is strongly recommended.
