Pets of the week

By From page A2 | May 01, 2012

Lots of dogs and cats are waiting to be adopted at the Yolo County Animal Shelter, 2640 E. Gibson Road in Woodland. Among them is Turtle Dove (No. 104962), a 1-year-old spayed female brown tabby and white domestic short-haired cat. Also hoping for a good home is Petey (No. 104686), a 1-year-old neutered male brown-and-black, short-haired Chihuahua-mix dog. Fees are charged for licensing and spaying or neutering, if necessary. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays (closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. each day). For more information on how to adopt a pet, call (530) 668-5287 or visit http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/CA283html (click on “our pet list is updated on an almost daily basis”).
