“Riverbank Kestrel,” by renowned wildlife artist Carl Brenders, is the grand prize for this fall’s Yolo Audubon Society fundraising drawing. This print has a framed value of approximately $800 to $1,000.
Tickets for the drawing have been mailed to Yolo Audubon members and also will be available at the organization’s meetings and functions. The suggested donation is $2 per ticket. The drawing will take place at Yolo Audubon’s Dec. 7 meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St. The meeting also includes a bird identification workshop in advance of the Putah Creek Christmas Bird Count.
In addition to the grand prize, other prizes will include a free night’s stay at the Jay house vacation rental in Colusa, original artwork from members, books and field guides. The winner need not be present to claim the grand prize, but prizes exclusive to those attending the Dec. 7 workshop will be available.
