By From page A11 | October 11, 2011

The Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival returns Thursday evening with inspirational films that share stories about the environment and community participation. This year’s event will include a silent auction and raffle.

Doors to the Brunelle Performance Hall at Davis High School, 315 W. 14th St., open at 6:30 p.m. with the films beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available online at 2011daviswildandscenicfilmfestival.eventbrite.com. Tickets also will be sold at the door.

The fifth annual film festival is co-hosted by Tuleyome, the Sierra Club Yolano Group and the Cool Davis Foundation. Organizers are striving for a zero-waste event, so attendees are asked to bring their own drink cups, snack bowls and cloth napkins.
