Peter Franklin Band plays Picnic in Park

The Peter Franklin Band — featuring Bud Dangl, vocals; Kevin Twitchell, guitar, harmonica and goals; Wayne Agin, percussion, jugs, washboard, congas, mandolin and vocals; Chris Fletcher, keyboard, saxophone, and harmonica; Peter Franklin, guitar, drums and vocals; Daniel Crain, guitar and goals; Patrick Crain, bass guitar; and Bob Byrd, ukelele and harmonica — bring their unique blend of classic rock and Americana tunes to Picnic in the Park on Wednesday.

The event free concert, supported by the Davis Food Co-op’s sponsorship, runs from 5 to 8 p.m. alongside the Davis Farmers Market in Central Park, Fourth and C streets.

The band’s playlist includes songs from The Beatles, The Doors and John Denver plus some upbeat original songs written by Franklin, the band’s founder. The band is a regular at Saturday markets, especially Pig Day and Fall Festival.
