UC to host world food forum

Mary Robinson, the former president of Ireland, will be among the speakers Tuesday during the Global Food Systems Forum, an event hosted in Ontario by the University of California’s Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Experts from around the world will discuss how to feed an estimated 8 billion people worldwide by 2025. Following Robinson’s keynote address at 9:15 a.m., New Yorker correspondent Michael Specter will lead a 9:30 a.m. panel on the the global challenge. Among the other scheduled discussions will be a 2:30 p.m. panel on the state’s agriculture, moderated by California author Mark Arax.
