Animals don’t cover their tracks
Ever wonder what you might be missing when you’re hiking around Yolo County? Come learn about Yolo County wildlife and the tracks and signs they leave at a free presentation from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cache Creek Nature Preserve west of Woodland.
The event will include basic information on animal tracking in Yolo County followed by a hike around the preserve to examine tracks and signs.
The program will be led by Rob Beggs, Sally Barrett, Fred Vanderwold and Jeanette Wrysinski, Cache Creek Conservancy board members. There is no charge to attend, but pre-registration is recommended as space will be limited.
Saturday is also a general open day at the preserve; admission is free. Community members are invited to hike the trails and enjoy the outdoors.
