Annual craft fair planned at the Gibson House

The historic Gibson House will  host its annual May Festival and Craft Faire from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday with more than 50 vendors. Admission is free.

New this year will be a petting zoo and sheep shearing demonstrations by Wind Dancer Ranch to benefit the Western Yolo Grange. The Woodland noon and morning Rotary clubs will be handling the barbecue and beer garden. The Yolo County Historical Society is sponsoring an old-fashioned bake sale.

The event will include musical entertainment by The Crawford Perkes Trio, dancing demonstrations by Ballet Folklorico de Beamer, a jump house and games for kids, James Barrera’s trick rope skills, face painting by Kelsey and blacksmithing demonstrations by Mike Carson.

This year, the Gibson Gardeners will have their largest plant sale to date.

This family event benefits the Yolo County Historical Museum/Gibson House at 512 Gibson Road, Woodland. For more information, go to www.gibsonhouse.org or call the museum office at 530-666-1045.
