Antique evaluation day is a win-win

By From page A5 | May 23, 2014

Ever wonder if the lamp Auntie Susie left you was worth anything?

Looking to see if the “treasure” you bought on vacation is real?

St. James Parish will host a Yolo County version of “Antiques Roadshow” where individuals may get a fair-market evaluation of various items from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at the parish, 1275 B St.

A donation of $10 per item to be evaluated is suggested, or $40 for five items. Proceeds will benefit the St. James Memorial Center Building Fund.

Items that will be appraised include jewelry and artwork, military and sports memorabilia, coins and collectibles, small antique furniture and family heirlooms.

Participating evaluators include De Luna Jewelers, Main Street Antiques, Hastings Back Porch, Winters Refinishing and other local experts.
