What makes a successful book group? Reading preferences, selection process, meeting logistics and discussion facilitation early on create groups that are well-run, interesting and rewarding, Yolo County Librarian Patty Wong says.

A book group orientation meeting, designed for those wishing to create a book group or those searching for the right group, will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Blanchard Room at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis.

Librarians will offer tips on setting up and running a book group, or finding the right book group, Wong said. No reservations are required for the free program.

For more information, contact Joan Tuss at (530) 757-5588 or joan.tuss@yolocounty.org.
