Assembly candidates to discuss senior issues

By From page A7 | February 18, 2014

All three candidates for the 4th Assembly District will discuss senior issues at a free public forum Saturday, Feb. 22, sponsored by the Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance.

The forum runs from 10 a.m. to noon at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St., and is designed to present information on the status of senior citizens in Yolo County, identified gaps in service and current programs to address the needs.

The Yolo Healthy Aging Alliance is a nonprofit that serves as the unified voice for older adults in Yolo County, promoting the well-being of older adults and their caregivers through collaboration, education and advocacy. The Yolo County In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Committee is a co-sponsor for the event.

Assembly candidates Dan Wolk, Joe Krovoza and Bill Dodd have been confirmed and will respond to audience questions. Matt Pope withdrew from the race last week.
