Auditions set for DMTC’s ‘Damn Yankees’

The Davis Musical Theatre Company announces auditions for its next production, “Damn Yankees,” opening Feb. 24 and playing through March 18 at the DMTC Performing Arts Center, 607 Peña Drive in Mace Ranch.

Auditions are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday, with callbacks at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday for the show directed by Rand Martin. Choreography will be by Martin and Jenny Plasse, with musical direction by Steve Isaacson.

The show’s first rehearsal begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12.

Faust meets professional baseball in the Broadway classic, “Damn Yankees,” with book by George Abbott and Douglass Wallop, and music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. The musical is based on Wallop’s novel, “The Year The Yankees Lost The Pennant.”
