Coy Cross II, author of “The Dhance: A Caregiver’s Search for Meaning,” will speak and teach a series of classes in Davis beginning Jan. 19.
The author, a Citrus Heights resident, will share discoveries, lessons and coping from his experience as caregiver for his wife after she was diagnosed with cancer. He will help others confronted by crisis to find mental, physical and spiritual support in their “dark night of the soul.”
He will lead a workshop at noon Sunday, Jan. 19, at the Unity Center of Davis, which meets at Stonegate Country Club, 919 Lake Blvd. Copies of his book will be available for signing.
Cross also will instruct a class on “The Path of Acceptance,” based on the teachings of the Rev. Carol Ruth Knox, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 22 to Feb. 26. The $100 fee includes the workshop, classes, Cross’ book “The Dhance” and Knox’s book “The Path of God.”
