Bingo benefits Bridge Foundation

By From page A4 | March 08, 2013

The Davis Odd Fellows Lodge will host bingo Sunday to benefit the Davis Bridge Educational Foundation, which provides after-school tutoring for at-risk and low-income students.

The doors of the lodge, 415 Second St. in downtown Davis, open at noon, and games begin at 1 p.m. Typically, 14 or 15 games are played and the fun ends just before 4 p.m.

A packet of bingo cards to last all afternoon may be purchased for $20. There are cash prizes for winners and up to $250 for the final blackout bingo game. Snacks and beverages will be for sale, and coffee is always available at no charge.

“This is an easy-going, low-impact way to spend an afternoon — everything is explained as we go along, so it’s perfect for novices and first-timers,” a news release said.

Odd Fellows Bingo is organized, run and operated by Odd Fellows and pledges. Co-chairing the Bingo Committee this year are Sherry Richter and Shyamli Sah.
