Bingo games benefit Mexican American Concilio

By April 29, 2011

Looking for something fun to do with Mom on Mother’s Day? Try bingo at the Odd Fellows Hall, 415 Second St. in downtown Davis. This month’s games benefit the Mexican American Concilio of Yolo County.

The Concilio provides scholarships for students and grants to agencies that help the disadvantaged. The nonprofit organization also supports a summer soccer league for residents of migrant camps in Davis, Dixon, Madison and Winters.

The bingo funds will help bring back the Concilio’s annual recognition dinner/dance, slated for Oct. 15 at Waite Hall at the Yolo County Fairgrounds in Woodland.

Doors open at noon and games begin at 1 p.m. Entrance fees are $20 for 15 bingo games, culminating with the $250 final jackpot game. Games end about 4 p.m. Snacks and beverages are for sale all afternoon.
