By From page A5 | October 31, 2013

Volunteer Barbara Cooper will lead birdwatchers on a walking tour of Lake Solano Park west of Winters from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 9.

Participants should dress in layers and be prepared for cold, wet weather. Don’t forget to bring binoculars, cameras and an inquiring mind. The group will meet at the boat ramp/canoe rental area on the day-use side of Lake Solano Park and Campground, 8685 Pleasants Valley Road Winters.

The presentation is free, but parking costs $5 per vehicle, payable at the entrance to the day-use area. No RSVP is necessary. Heavy rain will cancel the walk.
