Blanket makers gather Wednesday

Project Linus of Yolo County will meet for its monthly gathering from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.

The volunteers make and distribute blankets and afghans that provide love, warmth and security to needy children in the community. Volunteers will sew labels on handmade blankets at the meeting. The blankets are given each month to organizations in Yolo County that serve children in need.

Each month, new fabric and yarn is available to pick up and take home to complete a blanket. Finished blankets may be brought to the next monthly gathering or dropped off at Diane McGee’s house. For drop-off location, fabric or yarn donations or further information, contact McGee at [email protected] or (530) 753-3436.
