A suspicious device brought firefighters and police to an East Davis intersection early Saturday morning, officials said.
The incident began at about 3:45 a.m. with reports of a “suspicious container” on fire at Tulane Drive and Cypress Lane, Davis police Lt. Glenn Glasgow said. Firefighters put out the fire, but the odd nature of the object prompted further calls to the Police Department and the Yolo County Bomb Squad.
Glasgow said the container was rendered safe, and the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5400.
