By From page A3 | December 08, 2011

The Friends of the Davis Public Library will host its bi-monthly book sale starting Thursday. Admission from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday is for members only, but as always, shoppers may join the organization at the door.

The sale will be open to members and nonmembers alike Friday through Sunday at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. Hours are 10 a.m. to  7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

All hardback books and trade paperbacks will sell for $2; pocket paperbacks will be $1; children’s books will range from 25 cents to $2; and CDs, DVDs and tapes will be $1.

On Sunday, full bags of books will be only $5 and “better books” are half-price.

Proceeds from the sale go toward new books and services for the library.

Membership applications for the Friends of the Davis Public Library will be available at the door or online at davislibraryfriends.org. Membership includes bi-monthly postcard reminders of the book sales; the cards can be turned in at each book sale for $4 off book purchases.
