The Friends of the Davis Public Library will have its bimonthly book sale starting Friday. Look for special donations from Sweet Briar Books, which recently closed its doors at 654 G St.
Members only will be admitted between noon and 2 p.m. Friday; as always, shoppers may join at the door. The sale will be open to members and nonmembers alike through Sunday. Hours will be 2 to 7 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. The sale will take place at the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis.
All hardback books and trade paperbacks will be $2; pocket paperbacks will be $1; children’s books will range from 25 cents to $2; and CDs, DVDs and tapes will be $1. On Sunday, bring your own bag to load up: A full bag of books will cost $5 and “better books” are half-price.
Proceeds from the sale support the Friends of the Davis Public Library.
Friends membership applications will be available at the door or online at davislibraryfriends.org. Membership includes bimonthly postcard reminders of the book sales, which can be turned in at each sale for $4 off your book purchases.
