The Yolo County Historical Society will host a signing of the book “Hollywood Comes to Woodland” by local historian David Wilkinson at 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodland’s historic State Theatre, 322 Main St. in Woodland.

In addition to signing copies of his book, Wilkinson will discuss the research that went into writing it. He also will talk about the efforts under way to restore Woodland’s beloved State Theatre to the art deco glamor it once displayed.
