Breast cancer genetics discussed
“Breast Cancer and Genetics: Is breast cancer inherited?” will be presented by Maude Blundell at the Y-ME Breast Cancer Organization meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at the University Covenant Church, 315 Mace Blvd. in Davis.
Blundell is genetic counselor at the Sutter Cancer Center. She will discuss the influence of family history and genetics on the risk of having breast cancer. There will be a time for questions and answers. The program is free and open to the public.
Y-ME Open Door educational meetings take place on the second Monday of each month from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the University Covenant Church, just north of Interstate 80 in Davis at the corner of Mace and Alhambra boulevards.
The free meetings are not limited to breast cancer survivors, but are open to anyone who is interested in learning more about women’s health issues.
