Arboretum hosts African ‘safari’

By From page A3 | January 31, 2013

Families are invited to take a safari to Africa at a free outdoor reading program Sunday afternoon in the UC Davis Arboretum.

Participants will explore the stories and nature of Africa in the Acacia Grove. All ages are welcome to this program presented by the Arboretum Ambassadors with a grant from Target.

The event, which runs from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Arboretum Headquarters, is free. Campus parking also is free on the weekends and available in Lots 46 and 47. (In the event of rain, the fun will move indoors to 146 Environmental Horticulture).
