Author/illustrator visits Pence Gallery on Sunday

By From page A4 | May 23, 2014

Author and illustrator Jed Alexander will give a presentation and sign books on Sunday at the Pence Gallery, 212 D St. in downtown Davis. From 1 to 2 p.m., Alexander will read from his children’s book, “(Mostly) Wordless” and lead a drawing activity on animals, great for children ages 4-8.

From 3 to 4 p.m., adults and children ages 8 and older are welcome to see a presentation on how Alexander raised funds through Kickstarter to publish the picture book. The book centers on his evocative playful characters, who are illustrated in pen and ink and translated to a digital format.

No RSVP is necessary. The cost for each workshop is $5 per person.
