Craig McNamara, a Winters organic farmer and president of the California State Board of Food and Agriculture, will be the featured speaker at an awards ceremony Wednesday at UC Davis. McNamara also is the founder and president of the Center for Land-Based Learning.

The award — the Eric Bradford and Charlie Rominger Agricultural Sustainability Leadership Award — will be presented to an individual who has exhibited the leadership, work ethic and integrity epitomized by Bradford, a livestock geneticist, and Rominger, a sustainable farmer.

The event begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Buehler Alumni & Visitors Center on campus. It is free and open to the public.
