‘Beat the Heat’ workshop set in Winters

By April 28, 2012

Summer is fast approaching and the weather is warming up, so Pacific Gas and Electric Company and local Yolo County agencies are teaming up to host a “Beat the Heat” workshop to offer tips on saving energy and staying safe and cool this summer.

This free workshop will run from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Winters Public Safety Facility, 700 Main St., Winters.

PG&E representatives will be on hand to talk about free ways to decrease energy costs, provide information on the utility’s financial assistance programs, share tips on energy efficiency, explain how customers can put their SmartMeter to work, and help with billing questions.

Information tables will be staffed by representatives of PG&E, RISE Inc. and the Capital Region Red Cross. Spanish-speaking representatives will be available.
