Beer-tasting benefits food campaign

The Davis Food Co-op,  620 G St. in downtown Davis, will host a tasting of “21st Amendment & Other Great Beers” from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

In celebration of the United Nations International Year of Cooperatives, proceeds will benefit the National Cooperative Grocers’ Association’s fundraising efforts for Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign.

Collectively, member co-ops and vendor partners of the NCGA hope to raise $100,000 by World Food Day, Oct. 16, to help provide food to families across the nation.

The cost is $1 per taste or $5 to taste the slate of beers.

For more information, email Julie Cross at [email protected] or call the Co-op at (530) 758-2667.
