Save the date for the ninth annual Davis Beerfest: Saturday, June 1, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the parking lot at Sudwerk Brewery, 2001 Second St. in Davis.

Some 100 hand-crafted beers will be available for tasting at this fundraiser for Citizens Who Care, a nonprofit organization in Yolo County that provides social support programs and respite services to the frail elderly and their family caregivers.

Tickets are $38 in advance, available at Sudwerk; the Citizens Who Care office at 409 Lincoln Ave. in Woodland; online at www.davisbeerfest.org; or by calling 530-758-3704. Tickets at the door will be $45.

Designated drivers will be charged $10 at the door; their tickets include food and a nonalcoholic beverage.

All proceeds benefit Citizens Who Care, a local nonprofit agency offering social support and services to older adults and their family caregivers. Trained volunteers, with the support of professional staff, provide an In-Home Respite Visiting Program, a Convalescent Hospital Visiting Program and Time Off for Caregivers.
