The Davis Art Center is offering a four-week beginning folk dance class on Tuesdays, Feb. 5-26, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Students will learn easy traditional and contemporary folk dance from many countries in a fun social environment.
The class, taught by Barbara Linderholm, is a good transition into Davis Art Center’s ongoing International Folk Dance Class, which meets Sundays from 7 to 9 p.m.
Students should dress comfortably and bring along soft-soled dance shoes. Register in advance or at the first class at the Davis Art Center, 1919 F St. The cost is $28 for members. For more information, call the Davis Art Center at 530-756-4100 or visit www.davisfolkdance.org.
Beginners are also invited to attend Beginners Night on Sunday, Feb. 17, at the Art Center. This special edition of the regular
Sunday night get-together will feature all easy dances, with plenty of teaching. Beginners are encouraged to join the Tuesday night class, the Feb. 17 special event or both.
