Bring your bike for free lights, bells

Davis Bicycles! will set up our booth at the first Picnic in the Park celebration on Wednesday from 4:30 to 8 p.m. in Central Park. Aside from its usual booth with membership and information activities as well as T-shirt sales, bicycle advocates will be giving away bike lights and bells as long as they last.

“This will be a wonderful evening to ride your bike to Central Park to take advantage of our light and bell program,” a news release said. “You must bring your bike to us to have them installed. We will be on the lawn near the oak tree.

“We will also have our toolkit handy, and be able to do minor bike tuneup work,” the news release said. “We hope everyone in the park drops by during the evening to say hello and find out about our programs and upcoming events.”
