By From page A3 | November 07, 2012

Yogi Acharya Lama Gursam, a Tibetan Buddhist meditation master, will be in residence in Davis during November and early December. An authentic Drikung Kagyu yogi, he will offer traditional Tibetan Buddhist meditation practice and teachings at A Shared Awareness loft space, 105 E St., Suite H, from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays beginning this week.

On Friday, he will offer the Empowerment of Amitabha, Buddha of Infinite Light. For those receiving this empowerment, teaching will follow on Saturday and Sunday, again Nov. 24-25 on Phowa, a traditional Vajrayana Tibetan Buddhist practice that prepares one for the moment of death.

While there is no charge for these events, donations to support the Lama will be accepted with gratitude. For more information, call Sunny Shine 530-756-2671.
