Candy Cane Court celebrates final year

By From page A5 | December 14, 2012

Come to Candy Cane Court — aka Henri Court in Wildhorse — on Saturday for a lively celebration. In its 10th and final year, the
beautifully decorated neighborhood will welcome Santa Claus from 6 to 8 p.m., and members of the Holmes Junior High and Davis High School bands and the Cal Aggie Marching Band-uh will be there to perform.

Says homeowner Kristy Powell, “After 10 great years, thousands of candy canes, tons of food for STEAC and winning $100,000 for our schools (from a nationwide contest sponsored by Patch.com, a local news website owned by AOL), this will be Candy Cane Court’s final year.”

Visitors are asked to bring a can of food for STEAC, the Short-Term Emergency Aid Committee, a camera and their holiday spirit.
