Celebrate local musician Friday at Delta of Venus

A birthday celebration and musical tribute to Peter Brown will take place from 2 p.m. until late evening Friday at the Delta of Venus, 122 B St. in downtown Davis. The event is free and open to the public.

Featured musicians include Robert Brown, Diane Patterson, John Burton, Jeremy Jackson, David Carey, Ken Kemmerling, Donna Wren, Ephraim George, Bob Armstrong, Geoffrey Pike, Jessica Brown and Sarah Clanton.

Groups scheduled for the evening program include The Regal Beezers (folk and jazz standards) at 6 p.m., El Rado Scufflers (jazz of the 1920s, ’30s) at 7 p.m., Kemmerling and Pike (1960s folk rock and hip pop) at 8 p.m. and a jam session at 9 p.m.
