The César Chávez Elementary School Student Council will host a sale of more than 5,000 gently used quality books, CDs and DVDs for children and adults on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 12-13, at the school multipurpose room, 1221 Anderson Road.

Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days for the school community only, and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. both days for the general public.

All soft-cover picture books and kids’ chapter books cost 25 cents and hard-cover books are $1. During the final two hours of the sale, shoppers may fill a bag for $5.

The parking lot is closed until 3:20 p.m., but parking is available on Anderson Road for those who arrive before that time. Shoppers are asked to bring change and small bills.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase additional lunch tables for the school. For more information, contact Sara Caulfield at [email protected] or Kathy Roggenbuck at [email protected].
