Chipotle fundraiser boosts Emerson tech upgrade

By From page A4 | April 18, 2014

Local residents are invited to enjoy a burrito for a great cause between 5 and 8 p.m. Monday, April 28, at Chipotle, 227 E St. in downtown Davis. Fifty percent of the sales that evening will go toward a technology upgrade at Emerson Junior High School that has been four years in the making.

The goal is to raise $1,500 that evening, says Ahna Keller of the Emerson PTA board.

“Please come help us make it!” she says in a news release. “Last November, we broke the Chipotle fundraiser record for the year. Help us do it again and enjoy great company and music on the E Street Plaza from the Junior High Jazz Band, directed by Clyde Quick.”

Supporters must mention Emerson or the Da Vinci Charter Academy when they make their purchases.
