City bike path closed near Mace

By From page A3 | May 05, 2013

City of Davis officials announced Friday that Caltrans is working along the city bike path north of and parallel to Interstate 80, approximately 500 feet west of the Mace Boulevard overpass to about 500 feet east of the overpass. By this week, Caltrans plans to make the path more accessible. Until then, the path is closed.

Bicyclists and pedestrians should use alternative streets going east and west, such as Second Street from L Street to Mace Boulevard. Chiles Road also may be a viable alternative for east-west travel, since Yolo County crews will be working on County Road 32A during this time frame, the news release said
