Co-op collects shoes and coats for kids

By From page A12 | October 25, 2012

In conjunction with the Yolo County Children’s Alliance, the Davis Food Co-op, 620 G St., is accepting donations of new or gently used children’s shoes and coats throughout October.

Donations help clothe the 2,400 children living at or below poverty level in Yolo County. As their families struggle with dwindling resources, these at-risk kids may miss school because they don’t have shoes or warm clothing. Your donation can make a difference — and empty out some closet space at the same time.

For more information, email [email protected] or call the Co-op at 530-758-2667.
