The Davis Food Co-op invites the public to meet representatives of area co-ops at the Davis Farmers Market Picnic in the Park on Wednesday in Central Park.

The event — which will include Davis Parent Nursery School, Yolo Federal Credit Union, the California Center for Cooperative Development, Third Space Art Collective, Mutual Housing of California, Davis Ace Hardware, USE Credit Union and the USDA — is in celebration of October as Co-op month.

The Davis Soroptimists will have the Davis Food Co-op’s “Better Off Red” ale available for purchase during the event.

Picnic in the Park runs every Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. through Oct. 30.
