“Managing Energy, Water and By-products for Profitability in Food and Beverage Processing” is the title of a conference to be held Thursday at UC Davis, sponsored by the California Institute for Food and Agricultural Research.

This conference is the latest in a series of meetings organized by the institute that address the theme of responsible stewardship. It brings a wide range of academic and industrial specialists to the podium to map the responsible way forward in addressing the many pressures experienced in feeding the planet, a news release said.

The gathering is open to the public. For more information and registration, visit www.cifar.udavis.edu or contact Ricardo Amón at [email protected] or 530-304-8951.
