Conference focuses on communicating with youths

The Yolo County office of Education will present its Prevention/Early Intervention Showcase, “Connecting with our Youth,” from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Parents, caregivers, teachers, principals and administrators are invited to hear from a variety of professionals and youth panels concerning “how” to connect, rather than “what” is being communicated.

David N. Hafter of the Urban Children’s Resiliency Program will be the keynote speaker at the Office of Education, 1280 Santa Anita Court, Suite 120, in Woodland.

The event is free, but space is limited. Register by Thursday, Jan. 30, with Viola DeVita at [email protected] or 530-668-3754. A light dinner will be provided.
