Confab focuses on family courts

The Incest Survivors Speakers’ Bureau and the California Protective Parents Association will present the 19th annual Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Conference titled “National Scandal: Family Courts Give Children to Identified Pedophiles” in Davis this month.

The conference will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Veterans’ Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th St. Speakers include Linda Barnard, Ph.D.; Geraldine Stahly, Ph.D.; Kathleen Russell of the Center for Judicial Excellence; and Jane Stevens.

The award-winning documentary “No Way Out But One” will be shown. The conference is free, and no pre-registration is necessary.

Continuing education units for therapists are available; see www.issb.us for more information.
