The Yolo County Resource Conservation District will host its annual event Friday to celebrate this year’s stewardship efforts and those of their partners.

Taking place at the Cache Creek Nature Preserve, the evening will begin with wine and beer-tasting and live music by the Putah Creek Muckrakers. Range Camp sponsors Viking Propane and Pacific Coast Producers will provide additional funds to send local high school students to the California Range and Natural Resource Camp in Half Moon Bay.

The event is also sponsored by local producers and businesses, including Citrona Farms, Yolo Vineyards, Yolo Land Trust, Hedgerow Farms and Teichert.

The Yolo County RCD has been working with landowners, agencies and nonprofit organizations to protect, improve and sustain the natural resources of Yolo County for more than 50 years. The RCD’s broad base of programs and projects benefit farmers, wildlife, water resources, air quality, local students and their families.

Tickets for this event are $15. Children under 6 are welcome and free. For reservations and additional information, call Sheila Pratt at 530-662-2037, ext. 117, or visit www.yolorcd.org.
