Cool Davis Coalition examines The Cannery

The Cool Davis Coalition will host a presentation and discussion Wednesday on The Cannery, a residential/commercial project proposed for a 100-acre site north of Covell Boulevard at J Street. Coalition partners and interested members of the public are invited.

The coalition will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Eleanor Roosevelt Circle at Fifth Street and Cantrill Drive. Park across the street at the Davis Police Department. There will be a short business meeting and the forum will start at 4:30 p.m.

The topic of the discussion is “How Well is the City’s 2050 Carbon Neutrality Goal Reflected in The Cannery Project?” Representatives of the New Home Company will make a presentation about The Cannery to be followed by comments from coalition partners, a question-and-answer period and discussion.
